The MUS is considered as one of the most elite Universities which provides medical education. This university was once the first faculty of medicine in Bulgaria where it was established by Sofia University in 1917. During the year 1950 Medical University of Sofia was separated to become its own higher educational institution.
There are four main faculties in the University and they are the Medical faculty, the Dental faculty, the faculty of Pharmacy and the faculty of public health. All faculties provide excellent education and are located in the heart of the capital where lots of activities including sports, arts, socialising and many other.
Candidates are required to sit an entry exam where their knowledge in Chemistry and Biology will be put to the test in English language.This university also has its own language department to prepare students who are enrolled in the preparatory year in English or Bulgarian language. During the preparatory year, students will learn biology and chemistry where they are examined at the end of the program and must successfully pass the final exam to proceed to their desired educational program.
The tuition fees of the University range between 6 000 - 8000 euro per annual year.
